Alice L. Ritenour

Alice L. Ritenour, 76, of Bradenville died Monday, March 31, 2008, in UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh. Born April 19, 1931, in United, she was a daughter of the late John D. and Carrie E. (Honse) Barr. Retired from Pryce Machinery, Alice attended Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unity Township Unit 982. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John, William, Francis and Charles Barr; a sister, Maxine Meloy, and an infant sister, Mary. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Miles E. Ritenour; her daughter, Sherry Palmer and her husband, Richard, of Bradenville; granddaughter, Andrah Alice Palmer, who was the apple of her eye; a brother, Glenn E. Barr and his wife, Barb, of Latrobe, and two sisters, Sara Walters of Latrobe and Bonnie Yohman of Delmont. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the Trinity pastors officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
