Angeline M. Smith

Angeline M. "Angie" (Scardina) Smith, 84, of Latrobe (Unity Twp.), passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at Independence Health System - Latrobe Hospital.  She was born Nov. 8, 1938, in Scottdale, PA to the late Vincenzo James and May (Comforti) Scardina.  She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 1/2 years, Larry W. “Buck” Smith, an infant brother; five brothers and sister-in-laws, Marion (Antoinette) Scardina, Frank (Charolet) Scardina, Sam (Marian) Scardina, Dom (Janet) Scardina and Anthony (Kaye) Scardina; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She is survived by two sons, Roger W. Smith (Lisa El Harem) of Acme and Martin Smith (Terri Hauser) of Latrobe; one grandson, Collin Smith of Latrobe; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. Additional visitation will take place on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, in Our Lady of Grace Church from 9 to 10 a.m. with a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. with Fr. Levi M.
