Anna M. (Boyle) Jacobina

September 24, 1921 — June 22, 2018

Anna M. (Boyle) Jacobina, 96, of Latrobe (Unity Township), passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, in Loyalhanna Care Center. She was born Sept. 24, 1921, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late William and Ella (Vey) Boyle. Anna was a homemaker, and loved spending time with her family. Prior to her retirement, she worked with her husband in their shoe store, Henry's Shoes, in Latrobe. She was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. Jacobina, in 2013; three brothers, William, Jack and George Boyle; and one sister, Victorine Jacobina. She is survived by her son, Dr. Charles Jacobina and wife, Patricia, of Ligonier; two daughters, Jacqueline Walter and husband, Lawrence, of Greensburg, and Michele Jacobina, of Palm Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jason Ridilla and Logan Jacobina. There will be no public visitation, as per her wishes. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018, at St. Vincent Basilica, with the Rev. Thomas P. Curry, OSB, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Latrobe. The FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, is handling the funeral arrangements for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Valley School of Ligonier, Rector, Pa.
