Anna C. Nicely

Anna C. Nicely, 92, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, in Latrobe Regional Health and Rehabilitation Center, Youngstown, Pa. Born July 5, 1915, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Barrera Cestello. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Prior to retirement, she worked in the dietary department of Latrobe Area Hospital. She was a member of the Latrobe High School Class of 1933. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Nicely, in 1988; a granddaughter, Victoria Brinkos; a brother, Father Bosco Cestello, OSB; and two sisters, Helen Smith and Lucy Cestello. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Nicely-Taylor and her husband, Kenneth Taylor, of Fairbank, Pa.; a son, Kenneth E. Nicely and his partner, Portia Lyons, of St. Helena Island, S.C.; brother, Joseph D. Cestello; stepgranddaughter, Danielle Taylor; two stepgreat-granddaughters, Ashly Valenzuela, of Oviedo, Fla., and Dominique Brown, of Fairbank, Pa.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, in the funeral home with Trinity pastors officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Latrobe.
