Annette F. Warren Shannon, 74, of Latrobe passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at UPMC Shadyside. Born April 16, 1941, in Wake Forest, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Bertie (Bailey) Warren. Annette was a homemaker, former secretary at the CIA in Washington, D.C., and the nursery teacher for more than 40 years at Latrobe United Methodist Church, where she was a member. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kenneth Shannon Sr., on March 8, 2015. She is survived by three children, Kelly Shannon of New York, New York, Gunnery Sgt. Robert Shannon Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Russell Shannon and his wife, Dana, of Latrobe; four grandchildren, Amber Shannon and Hannah Shannon, both of Beaufort, and Keegan Shannon and Kaden Shannon, both of Latrobe; her twin sister, Jeanette McGraw and her husband, Charles, of Gastonia, North Carolina, and brother, H. L. Warren and his wife, Joyce, of Raleigh, North Carolina. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, in Latrobe United Methodist Church, 440 Main St., Latrobe. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Pastor Paul Wise will officiate. Burial will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Latrobe United Methodist Church (LUMC) Children's Wing, 440 Main St., Latrobe, PA 15650.
