Anthony "Dago" Morelli, 64, of Derry, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at home. He was born May 2, 1953, in Latrobe, to the late Oliver "Moe" Morelli and Martha (Ashley) Zeunges. He was a former employee of Lincoln Lanes, Derry Water Authority and was a bus driver for Smith Bus Co. up until recently. His true obsessions included fishing, hunting and bowling. He was a lifelong member of the Eagles and the Kingston Club. He will always be remembered for his outgoingness and his jokes and stories. He knew someone everywhere he went and could spark a conversation with almost anyone. He was a 1971 graduate of Latrobe High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Cravner; a brother, Tom Morelli; and a cousin, Mark Ashley. He is survived by his wife, Karen J. (Hutton) Morelli; three children, Heidi Walters (BJ), Sarah Morelli (Joe) and Tony Morelli (Jeri); two grandchildren, Domenic and Jaden; his stepfather, Landis Zeunges; brother, Richard Zeunges; sisters Harriet Shoup and Patricia Krynicky; brothers Wally Zeunges and Lanny Zeunges; as well as several nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Lizzy O'Hara, who assisted him durring his cancer treatment; a great fishing buddy, Bill Mcklveen; and his German girlfriend (dog), Ava. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Les Hutchins Jr. officiating. Burial will be private.
