Arthur Raymond Patterson, 67, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, in Mountainview Specialty Care Center. He was born May 16, 1943, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Robert L. and Helen L. (Woolslayer) Patterson. He was a public accountant and a part time Lutheran pastor. He was a graduate of Thiel College and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Churhc, in Trafford, where he was a part time pastor. He enjoyed playing softball and was often recognized for his talent and skill. He was preceded in death by three sisters-in-law, Peggy Newsome, Mary West and Rosanelle Kiger; and great-nephew, Travis Jones. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Helen (Kiger) Patterson; one daughter, Julie Patterson Keffer and her husband, Steve; seven grandchildren, Laura, Danielle and Madison Liberoni, Sarah, Kayla, Olivia and Kendra Keffer; one great-granddaughter, Kaydence Ann; one brother, Richard L. Patterson and his wife, Carol, all of Latrobe; one sister-in-law, Karen Starling and her husband, Ronald, of Winston Salem, N.C.; six brothers-in-law, Clarence, Edward, Thomas Kiger, Paul Kiger and his wife, Brigitte, Bill Kiger and his wife, Carolyn, all of Rural Hall, N.C., J. L. West, of Winston Salem, N.C., Bruce Newsome, of King, N.C.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church, 301 E. Pittsburgh St., Delmont, PA 15626, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Marks, the Rev. Sandra Kessinger and the Rev. Frederick Heitzenroder. Burial will be private.
