Carolyn A. Boerio, 81, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry. Born Aug. 22, 1932, in Connellsville, she was a daughter of the late John and Janet (Miller) Robbins. She was formerly employed as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Humane Society and was an avid animal lover and caretaker. She most enjoyed spending time with her horses and dogs. She is survived by two sons, Mark Boerio and his wife, Trish, and their children, Preston and Corey, and David Boerio; her special friend Steve Krawtz; and her loving dogs, Sable, Jamie, Trevor, Lance, Lee, Samantha and Troy. "A memorial visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Latrobe."
