Catherine I. Abbott Latrobe

Catherine I. Abbott, 99, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township. She was born Jan. 16, 1908, in Latrobe, daughter of the late John and Mary (Vallana) Inselmini. She was a homemaker and member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Latrobe, and the Holy Family Rosary Altar Society. Catherine's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O. Abbott, in 1985; two brothers, Angelo and David Inselmini; and a sister, Valia DeVitto. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Bevan, of Latrobe; a son, F. Allen Abbott and his wife, Jolene K., of Latrobe; four grandchildren, Christina A. Kikel and her husband, Scott, of Greensburg, Lynda M. Mayes and her husband, Tony, of Bradenville, Brandi Jo Rega and her husband, Jeremy, of Murrysville, and Stacey M. Abbott and her husband, Adam Foster, of Tallahassee, Fla., and a brother, Bruno Inselmini, of Latrobe. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1534 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Latrobe. The Holy Family Rosary Altar Society will recite the Rosary at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
