Catherine M. (Hamilton) Wadsworth

June 12, 1916 — December 30, 2017

Catherine M. "Cass" (Hamilton) Wadsworth, 101, of Latrobe, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at home, with family by her side. She was born June 12, 1916, in Latrobe, to the late John and Agnes Jellison Hamilton. She was a retired custodian for Latrobe High School. Cass was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, where she was active for many years. She was a former member of the Degree of Honor, and enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, sewing and baking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Metz and Margaret Burgard; five brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Russell, Charles and Raymond Hamilton; and a son-in-law, Giles B. Campbell. She is survived by two children, Glenda Campbell, of Latrobe, and Thomas Wadsworth and his wife, Janet, of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Giles Campbell Jr. (Jeanine), Justin Campbell (Tosha), Douglas Campbell, Jill Kitch (Michael), and Brett Wadsworth (Lisa); six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at Bethany United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Les Hutchins Jr. officiating. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will take place in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe. The family wishes to send a special thank you to hospice nurse, Tammy, and aide, Jennie.
