Catherine E. (Bell) Zuchegno

Catherine E. (Bell) Zuchegno, 92, of Latrobe, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe. Born Dec. 26, 1917, in Carney, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Nichola and Phyllis (Calabrace) Diorio. She was retired from Vallozzi's Restaurant. Mrs. Zuchegno was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Zuchegno; brothers, Frank, Joseph and Anthony Diorio; and sisters, Anna M. Diorio and Rosalie Robl. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Genivee and Elizabeth Diorio, both of Latrobe; as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Carbone as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe.
