Charles Raymond Thomas, 74, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at home. He was born March 20, 1941, in Homestead, son of the late Raymond M. Thomas and Alma Dora Ellslager. He was a retired machinist, having worked for U.S. Steel - Homestead, and F.A. French & Sons Screw and Machines. He was a Marine Corps veteran. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Elaine A. (Carr) Thomas; a sister-in-law, Jane Rodman, of Cromwell, Conn.; a niece, Heather Rodman, of Cambridge, Mass.; a nephew, Neil Rodman and his wife, Jaime, of Vernon, Conn.; a great-niece, Molly Rodman; and a great-nephew, Jack Rodman. There will be no public visitation and burial will be private. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Arnold Palmer Cancer Center, the staff of Excela Health Hospice and Dr. Gauri Kiefer for the care and compassion they showed Chuck over the last two years.
