Delores L. (Bridge) Claycomb

Delores L. (Bridge) Claycomb, 86, of Latrobe, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, in Mountainview Specialty Care Center, Greensburg. She was born Dec. 17, 1930, to the late Raymond J. Bridge and Catherine M. (Massena) Bridge. She retired with more than 30 years of service as a telephone operator for AT& T. Delores was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and Telephone Pioneers, and was a former member of the Latrobe Civic Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick T. Bridge, in 1977. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James W. Claycomb; two daughters, Kathy S. Claycomb, of Latrobe, and Janice C. Kirby and her husband, Charles Kirby Jr., of Medford, N.J.; one grandson, Charles Kirby III and his wife, Sarah, of Medford, N.J.; three great-grandchildren, Wielond, Ewan and Sidney; a brother Joseph N. Bridge and his wife, Eleanor; as well as four nieces and a nephew. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Les Hutchins Jr. officiating. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church.  Burial will take place in Unity Cemetery in Latrobe. The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Mountainview Specialty Care Center for the loving care Delores received during her stay with them.
