Diana M. (Trongo) Holnaider, 80, passed away peacefully at home with her family on Friday, February 7, 2025. She was born July 13, 1944 in Latrobe, PA, a daughter of the late Anthony and Sarah (Herrod) Trongo. She went to Greensburg Central Catholic high school. She was a lifelong member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and enjoyed helping every year with their festival. After raising her eight children she took a position as a supervisor at ARC of Westmoreland. She enjoyed her job working with adults with disabilities in a workshop setting. Her favorite place to be was at home spending time with her family. She also enjoyed dancing, bowling, spending time in the sun and was an avid bingo player. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 plus years, Bruno; her son, Bradley; and her sister, Louise. She is survived by sons, Bruno II (Diane), Bruce (Jeannine), Bernard, and Brian (Taylor); and daughters, Bernadette (Richard) Lesko, Bridget (Jeffery) Jones, and Bonita (Michael) Sisak; grandchildren, Marie (John), Bruno, Daniel (Jessica), Scarlett, Michael, Cheyanne (Matthew), Anthony, Emily, Jeffery and Giovanna; great grandchildren, Anastasia, Reno, Grace, Aurora, John, Penelope, Ryland, Hurst, Magnolia, Ellie, Holt and one on the way. She was also survived by her brother, Anthony Trongo II (Doris), brother-in-laws, Rudy Holnaider (Molly), Thomas Holnaider (Marianne), and Christopher Holnaider (Colleen); sisters-in-law, Juliann Durden (Anthony) and Mariann Holnaider, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Diana’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Fr. Richard Ulam, O.S.B., Dr. Oscar Reyna, M.D. and staff; and Ashley with Excela Health Hospice for the care and compassion shown to their mother. Funeral arrangements will be handled by FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 1543 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, PA 15650. As per her wishes there will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Vincent Basilica with Fr. Richard Ulam, O.S.B., as celebrant. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Latrobe. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Vincent Basilica Parish. She was loved very much by her family and her memory will live on forever.
