Dorothy R. Henslick

Dorothy R. (Ernette) Henslick, 83, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died Sunday, June 24, 2007, in Stuart, Fla. Born April 2, 1924, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late Jesse M. and Maude Lillian Byers Longsdorf. She worked at the Volkswagen Auto Assembly Plant in Mt. Pleasant until 1983, when the plant closed, and she moved to Port St. Lucie, Fla. She was a member of American Legion Post 40 of Fort Pierce, Fla., and the Polish-American Club of Port St. Lucie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Charles Ernette Sr., in 1957; and two brothers, Donald Eugene Longsdorf and Jay Harlan Longsdorf. She is survived by her husband, Henry F. Henslick, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; her two sons, William C. Ernette, of Las Vegas, Nev., and James L. Ernette and his wife, Brenda, of Greensburg; a daughter, Carole Anita Stemmler and her husband, Richard, of Latrobe; a granddaughter, Lisa R. Frederick and her husband, G. Joseph, of Greensburg; a grandson, Scott Cervi, of Ligonier; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Cole Frederick. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. James B. Simons officiating. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Jeannette.
