Our Heavenly Father took our Mother, Dorothy Florine (Frederick) Provenzano home on January 2, 2021 on what would have been Mom and Dad’s 78th wedding anniversary. Dorothy, born April 26, 1921 in New Kensington, PA, and the 11thchild of Angelo and Regatta Frederick, passed away peacefully with her son, Lou, and daughter-in-law, Eileen, by her side. Dorothy and Louis raised their family in Arnold, PA. They were longtime members of Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church and Italian Sons and Daughters of America. Besides being an excellent homemaker, she worked many years in food service at Valley High school, Alcoa Aluminum and Citizens General Hospital. After the death of her husband, she was fortunate to spend time with all of her children in several different states until her passing at a senior care center in Arizona. Survivors include her children, Carol (David) Stull, Michael (Sylvia) Provenzano and Louis (Eileen) Provenzano; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Louis Provenzano; her parents; eight brothers, Louis, George, Angelo, James, Albert, Guido, Armand and John and two sisters, Theresa Marcelli and Anne Bianco. Due to the current pandemic, all services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Saint Peter’s Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068. Her final resting place will be next to her husband at Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell, PA. Arrangements are being handled by Frederick Funeral Home, Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe PA 15650. Visit www.FrederickFuneralHome.com for condolences to the family.
