Eleanor J. Falso, 88, of Latrobe, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at home. She was born July 5, 1925, in Latrobe, daughter of the late Pasquale Falso and Elizabeth Funciulla-Zappone Falso. She was a retired investigator for Bell Telephone Company, having worked in Latrobe and Greensburg. She was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Marie Iafanaro and her husband, Tony, A. Jeff Zappone and his wife, Beatrice, John B. Zappone and his wife, Marian, Charles Zappone and his wife, Peggy, Anna Koch and her husband, William, Helen (Carmel) Danko and her husband, Matthew, Florence Joyner and her husband, Robert; and two brothers-in-law, Raymond "Gene" Bigley and Henry "Coag" Stemmler. She is survived by two sisters, Marguerite Bigley and Pauline Stemmler, as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. At her request, there will be no public visitation or services. Interment is private. Eleanor's family wishes to express a special thank you to Excela Latrobe Hospice and nurse Lois Wozny.
