Eleanor Edwards Gadd

Eleanor Edwards Gadd, age 86, died on Saturday, June 21, 2008 in her home. "Eaney" was born January 16, 1922, in Latrobe. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College and got her Master's from University of Pittsburgh. Eleanor was a teacher at Latrobe Area High School for over 20 years teaching World History. Eleanor enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. Eleanor was preceded in death by husband, Charles Gadd Jr.; and survived by sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Richard W. Wilt; brother and sister-in-law, Edward (Ted) and Mary Jane Edwards; nieces and nephews, Katy W. Steele, Richard W. Wilt Jr., Dawn S. Edwards, and Ed Edwards; great nieces and nephews, Kara S. O'Connor, William E. Steele III (Wes), Anna Kristina and Anthony Wilt, and Marc Edwards; great great nieces and nephews, Casey, Asher, and Kiersten O'Connor.
There will be a private family viewing at Frederick Funeral Home, Inc. 1543 Ligonier St. Latrobe, PA on Tuesday, June 24 at 6 P.M. A Memorial Service for Eleanor will be held for friends and family at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 25 at Unity Cemetery Chapel, 114 Chapel Lane, Latrobe, Pa 15650. followed by a private burial in the cemetery.
