Emeline "Jerry" Shriver, 89, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1921, in Indiana, Pa., daughter of the late Julius Arthur and Julia Anastaisa (Fry) Warheit. She and her husband were the former owners of the Fashion Shop and Keystone Shoe Store. She attended First Church of God, in Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russel A. Shriver; a daughter, Arminta "Adelle" Shriver Lowrie; six brothers, Earl, Russel, Fred, Glenn, Carl and William; and two sisters, Ruth and Louise. She is survived by a grandson, Russel Lowrie; a brother, George Warheit, PhD. and his wife Delberta, of The Villages, Fla.; a sister, Patricia Dunlap and her husband, William, of Latrobe; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Flora Johns. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Beth Dunlap and Pastor Robert Newmeyer.
