Ethel M. Kauffman, 97, of Apollo, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at home. She was born Aug. 17, 1911, in Hunker, a daughter of the late Charles and Zella Hayes Sinnamond. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob A. Kauffman; a son, Rodger Kauffman; and two daughters, Janet Clark and Eleanor Kauffman. She is survived by three children, Richard Kauffman, Pauline Adams and Ronald Kauffman, all of Apollo; and two daughters-in-law, Marilyn and Patricia. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
