Evelynne J. Miscovich

Evelynne J. Miscovich, 86, passed away peacefully Friday evening August 2nd, at Bethlen Home with her family by her side. Born March 30, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Vargo) Semanchek. Evelynne was a member of Holy Family Church. A graduate of Seton Hill College with double degrees, 'Mrs. Miscovich' was a science teacher at Holy Family School for most of the 1970's and 80's. Many students credit her with their love of the sciences and several students became teachers and have thanked her through the years. Upon her retirement, Evelynne and her husband John Miscovich owned and operated Diamond Oaks Personal Care Home. Evelynne deeply loved her God, Mother Mary and her family, especially her five grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband John Miscovich, her sister, Mary Pagliasotti and her husband Leo of Greensburg, sister Ann Kostley and her husband Joe of Latrobe, brother John Semanchek of Crabtree, brother-in-law Jack King of Buena Park, CA, and a brother-in-law George Hvizdos of Latrobe, and a brother-in-law Leonard Miscovich of Hunker. She is survived by her sister Helen Hvizdos of Latrobe, sister Josephine King of Buena Park, CA and a sister-in-law Cil Miscovich of Hunker. Also survived by her three sons, Greg Miscovich and wife Sharon of Latrobe, granddaughter Amber Miscovich Lohr and husband Dale of Derry, son Jay Miscovich MD of Latrobe, and son Scott Miscovich MD and wife Sharon, four grandchildren Brad, Andrew, Camron, and Julia of Kailua Beach, HI. There will be no public visitation. Frederick Funeral Home, Inc., Latrobe, PA in charge of arrangements. A private Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Latrobe, PA. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery, Unity Twp., PA with her husband John. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Christ the Divine Teacher School, 323 Chestnut St, Latrobe, PA 15650.
