Frances M. Way Randles, 90, of Latrobe, PA, formerly of Dresden, Ohio passed away Saturday evening, February 8, 2014 in Latrobe. Born and raised in Coshocton County, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Nellie (Thomas) Way Smailes and the step-daughter of the late Orville Smailes. She and her late husband, Harold Ray Randles, lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Mansfield, Ohio prior to retiring to the Zanesville/Dresden area. Mrs. Randles retired from National Seating Company of Mansfield. She was an active member of the Dresden First Baptist Church for many years. Frances enjoyed spending time with her children and their families. She loved quilting and made several quilts for her children and grandchildren. She loved playing games and cards and loved going to the Bonnie Longaberger Senior Center where she enjoyed the companionship of her many friends. Surviving are her children whom she dearly loved, Lewis L. (Don) Randles and his wife Sharon of Coshocton, Karen S. Bush and her husband Don of Acme, PA and Sharon K. Uber and her husband Kenneth of Indiana, PA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Lewis (Donnie) Randles, Jr., Bradley Randles, Sue Leeper, Dawn Elliott, Melissa Bush, Jill Capitosti and Samuel McIntire; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Gales of Dresden; two step-brothers, Lowell Smailes and William Smailes of Coshocton; a brother in-law, Donald (Marie) Randles of Newark, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and step-father she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harold Ray Randles whom she married April 4, 1942 and who died August 9, 2001 and three step-brothers, Francis, Lorraine and Dwight Smailes. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Offenberger officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw, Ohio.
