Harry J. "Jack" Frowen, 75, of Latrobe, Derry Township, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at home. He was born Dec. 24, 1937, in Latrobe, to the late Harry W. Frowen and Dorothy Cunningham Frowen. He was a retired athletic director and teacher for Greater Latrobe High School. Harry was a member of Latrobe United Methodist Church, Pennsylvania State Education Association, Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors Association, Westmoreland County Coaches Association and was a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 907. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Sara K. (Kling) Frowen, who died in 2009. Harry is survived by his three children, Shawn Elizabeth Frowen Frederick and her husband, Kelly, of Pittsburgh, Scott Thomas Frowen, of West View, and Shannon Toby Frowen, of West View; a sister, Elaine Lichina, of Gibsonia; a nephew, Thomas W. Lichina and his wife, Mary, of Cascade, Colo.; a niece, Cindy Scott, of Gibsonia; three great-nephews; a great-niece; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Latrobe United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Wise officiating. Burial will be private.
