Harry N. McClelland, 75, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born Dec. 20, 1937, in Derry, he was the son of the late Harry M. and Anna Mary Brant McClelland. He was a member of Latrobe United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Westinghouse as a grinder. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and he had his NASCAR license. He had worked at Ruffsdale Raceway, Latrobe Speedway, Motordrome Speedway, Lernerville Speedway, and Jennerstown Speedway as a scorer. He was a former member of the Sixth Ward Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia McClelland and Anna Louise Means. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn L. (Glass) McClelland; two children, Harry Scott McClelland and his wife, Michele, and Beth Ann Prohaska; two granddaughters, Alexis and Lindsay McClelland; and two grandsons, Joshua and Benjamin Prohaska. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdsay, Aug. 8, 2013, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, in the funeral home with Pastor Paul Wise officiating. Burial will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
