Harry B. Miller

Harry B. Miller, 58, of Latrobe, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1950, in Latrobe, a son of the late Robert A. and Lois A. Miller. He was a retired Congressional Aid for Senator Gene Porterfield, was a 1968 graduate of Latrobe High School and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, past president of the Westmoreland County Sportsman's League, president of the PA Sportsmen for the Disabled, a member of the Allegheny County Sportsmen's League and the founder of "Special Day for Special Kids". In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank M. Miller. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty A. (Miller) Miller; a son, Christopher M. Miller and his wife, Deanna, of Latrobe; a daughter, Jennifer J. Stitt and her husband, Les, of Latrobe; a grandson, Colin P. Gearhart; a brother, Robert L. Miller, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; four sisters, Nettie Guskiewicz and her husband, Tim, of North Huntingdon, Carol Kosker and her husband, Richard, of Saltsburg, Mary Lou Watkins, of Latrobe, and Elaine Lloyd, of Youngstown; a brother-in-law, John G. Miller and his wife, Darlene, of Derry; a sister-in-law, Shirley Hutchinson, of Latrobe; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Tuesday and Wednesday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650.
