Iris G. (Negri) Potter, 96, of Latrobe, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 2, 1921, in Arco Italy, the daughter of the late Livio and Maria (Prandi) Negri. Iris was a homemaker. She was a member of the Son Rise Church. Iris enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved people and making her famous spaghetti, chicken, and iced tea. In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by her husband Richard H. Potter in 2013, one son Georgie Potter, one brother Sergio Negri, and two sisters Bianca Pederizolli and Bruna Fumaneri. She is survived by her two daughters Susan J. Amicone and husband Lew of North Huntingdon and Evone A. Myers and husband Michael of Latrobe; five grandchildren Lew Amicone and wife Susie, Eric Amicone, Matthew Myers and wife Laura, Timothy Myers, and Michelle Cieslewicz and husband Jeff; 11 great grandchildren Sean, Scott, Deric, Samuel, Alex, Ryan, Sydney, Giovanna, Nathan, Emma, and Lilly and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday June 28, in the Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Friday June 29, in the funeral home with the Pastor Gary Tustin and Pastor Allen Runyon co-officiating. Interment will be in the St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe.
