James R. Lipinski, Sr. “Jim”, “Dude” or “Pappy Dude” born June 21, 1951, passed away peacefully with his family on March 14, 2024. He was a veteran that served in the United States Airforce. He was a retired Trackman from Conrail. He was the son of the late William G. Lipinski and Malinda Jane (Cable) Lipinski. He has three children Jennifer (John) Horvath, James R. Lipinski, Jr. “Jimmy,” and June Rose (Robert) Hayden. He has four grandchildren Dominick Horvath, Jillian Horvath, Savannah Kahl and Knox Rader Lipinski. He was preceded in death by brothers Maurice “Morris” Ruffner, William “Buck” Lipinski, Joseph Lipinski, George Lipinski, and sisters Jane Waldron, Esther Lipinski, Mary Heacox, and Baby Betty, as well as brothers and sisters-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sisters Frances Titus, Martha (Jerry) Fetter, and Wilma (John) Hovance and his brother Thomas Lipinski and many nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed with his quirky sense of humor, many one-line sayings, many railroad stories, and his love and collection of comic books. His favorite comic book hero was “Captain America.” He loved to read sci-fi/fantasy books. He loved playing chess and won more times than he lost! He was known for the many stories he wrote and would tell with his “taller tale telling.” He was very proud of his book that he wrote Krisp Moose: A Taller Tale. He fought a good fight until the very end. “Hasta Vista Dude” We will see you on the flip side. We love you and we miss you. As per his wishes there was no public visitation or service.
