James Hill Mitchell

James Hill Mitchell Passed away January 16, 2010 at the age of 93. He is the beloved husband of the late Sadie(Burd)Mitchell. Dearest father of Nancy C.(Perry)Boring and James H. Mitchell. Dear grandfather of 5, great grandfather of 5 and great great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Rose Derek. He was preceded in death by his parents James M. and Florence(Hill)Mitchell, 2 brothers, 6 sisters and a grandson. James was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania and moved to Michigan at the age of 38 where retired from Ford Motor Company, as a press operator, in 1981. Prior to moving to Michigan he worked in a steel mill, delivered mail and did other miscellaneous jobs. He served in the U. S. Navy. He loved to Garden, hunt mushrooms in northern Michigan and collect license plates. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, January 23, 2010, 11am at the Frederick Funeral Home, 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, Pennsylvania 15650. Friends may visit Friday 1-9pm.
