John F. "Fred" Bronson, 61, of Latrobe, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Born Nov. 18, 1945, in Hendersonville, he was a son of the late William G. and Marian E. Jones Bronson. He was a retired laborer for Glass Beads with 37 years of service. He was a member of the Salvation Army, Latrobe, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Nancy Ahlborn Bronson; three sons, John Paul Bronson, Wesley David Bronson and his fiancee, Dawn Shaw, and Eric Don Bronson and his wife, Cindy, all of Latrobe; two brothers, William T. Bronson and his wife, Sharron, of Greensburg, and David A. Bronson Sr., of Latrobe; three sisters, Jean Antill and her husband, David, of New Ken, NY, Judith Bronson, of Lorain, OH, and Doloris Bronson, of Derry; and three grandchildren, Stephanie, Erica and Destany. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. The combined funeral detail of American Legion Post 515 and VFW Post 3414 will provide military honors at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Services and interment will be private.
