Joseph A. Gangemi, 65, of New Alexandria passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Born Sept. 4, 1948, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Anthony J. and Jane F. Gangemi. Prior to retirement, Joseph was a coal miner for Helen Mine. He is survived by his two sons, Anthony Gangemi of Latrobe and Mario Gangemi (Roxanne) of Fort Myers, Fla.; granddaughter, Mia Rose Gangemi; four siblings, Marcy Gangemi of Crafton, David D. Gangemi of Florida, Jayne Boynton and her husband, Larry, of Jeannette and Debby Gangemi and her husband, Jerry Lamb, of Arizona; niece, Kelly Ber (Matt) of Irwin; nephew, Bruce Boynton of Colorado; two great-nieces, Cassidy Boynton and Regina Ber, and great-nephew, Dominic Ber. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 18, in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, from 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Liturgy 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
