Josephine G. Zaccagnini

Josephine G. Zaccagnini, 91, of Latrobe, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010. She was born March 2, 1919, in Latrobe, a daughter of Nunzio Lombard and Rose Mush Lombard. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Anthony J. Zaccagnini in 2007; five brothers, Louis, Anthony, Sam, Frank and Albert Lombard; and three sisters, Florence Giordan, Joanne "Jenny" Nemcheck and Dolores Sacca. She is survived by three children, Marica Hunter, Robert Zaccagnini and his wife, Evelyn, and Patricia Pastor and her husband, James, all of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Lisa Rellick and her husband, Chris, Ed Palmer and his wife, Kim, Roxanne Shadren and her husband, Mike, Dr. Rob Zaccagnini and his wife, Stephanie, and Maria Pastor; five great-grandchildren, Kayla Messenger and her husband, Zack, Matt Rellick, Airianna and Erin Palmer, and Vincenzo Zaccagnini; one sister, Mary Lovera, of Michigan; five sisters-in-law, Rose Lombard, of Michigan, Mary DeLuca, of Blairsville, Ruth Lombard, of Latrobe, Lillian Myers, of Delmont, and Louise Zaccagnini, of Export; one brother-in-law, Vic DeLuca, of Blairsville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Zaccagnini as celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
