Kay M. (Connor) Long, 79, of Latrobe, died Friday, May 19, 2017, at home. She was born April 17, 1938, in Latrobe, daughter of the late John Connor and the late Garnett (Forsha) Connor Demangone. She was a retired customer service associate for Penn Furniture. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Long, in February of 2017, and her youngest son, Corey L. Long, in 2007. She is survived by her two children, Kimberly M. Ballash and her husband, Jim, and Lewis Kevin Long; two grandchildren, Nathan J. Ballash and his wife, Coletta, and Josh P. Ballash and his wife, Chelsea; two great-grandchildren, Reed and Gannon Ballash; two sisters, Janet Alexander and her husband, Robert, and Patricia Palenchar and her husband, Joseph; two brothers-in-law, Edwin Blaine Long and his wife, Marlene, and Richard B. Long and his wife, Mary Ann; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Trinity pastors officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
