Leona Schober Linhart, 81, Latrobe died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe. Born April 13, 1926, in Hostetter, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Kornides) Schober. Prior to her retirement, Leona was a seamstress for Dom & Carmen Tailoring. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Linhart, in 2001. She is survived by her niece, Virginia "Ginny" Schober of Latrobe; four brothers, Joseph Schober Jr., Ronald Schober and his wife, Rose, all of Latrobe, Edward Schober of California and Donald Schober of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Musnug and Mrs. Harold (Irene) Harr, both of Latrobe; a sister-in-law, Connie Schober, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the Trinity pastors officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
