Leonard E. Todd Sr., 81, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, in Excela Health Hospital, Latrobe. He was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Latrobe, to the late George R. and Wilda Ann (Cline) Todd. He was a retired craneman for Superior Mold/Hocken Smith. He was a member of the Frontier Club, Lloydsville Sportsman's Club and the Pleasant Unity VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, casino gambling and pinochle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Edward Todd and Clifford Todd. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Emma Jean (Vargulish) Todd; five children, Deborah (Leonard) Morgan, Leonard Todd Jr., Michael (Sharon) Todd, David (Diana) Todd, and George (Nancy) Todd; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Gower and Dolores Danser. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, in the funeral home, with his son-in-law, Pastor Leonard Morgan, officiating. Burial will take place in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
