Margaret F. "Peg" Aukerman

Margaret F. "Peg" Aukerman, 95, of Latrobe, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Barns House. She was born May 21, 1914, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Alonza Fenton and Ida Summy Fenton. A retired bookkeeper for The Rose Style Shop, she was a member of Latrobe United Methodist Church. She was the valedictorian of the Hurst High School class of 1931. She enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed raising African Violets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John I. Aukerman; a brother, Lloyd Fenton; and two sisters, Mary Walters and Ruth Ball. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Osborne and her husband, Jack, of Port Orange, Fla., and Jean Lenhardt and her husband, Bob, of Blairsville; and a grandson, John R. Osborne, of Clearwater, Fla.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. David Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
