Margaret C. West

Margaret C. (Frisky) West, 92, of Latrobe, (Unity Township), died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 4, 1921, in Greensburg, daughter of the late Theodore J. Frisky and Margaret Catherine. She was a former member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish and a current member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Vincent auxiliary and the Century Club. She loved to play cards weekly at Sharky's restaurant with her friends. She also enjoyed sewing, tending to her flower garden and was an avid reader. Her most enjoyable times were spent with family. She spent many afternoons at Seabase and warm summer days at Idlewild with her great-grandchildren. Her classy "best-dressed" style came with her love for shopping and she accessorized with her passion for jewelry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, John E. "Hap" West; and a daughter, Margaret M. "Peggy" West. She is survived by her enduring family, daughters, Carol Hager, of Ligonier, and Barbara West, of Latrobe; grandchildren, Beth Wallace and her husband, John, of Stahlstown, Eric Sulkey, of North Carolina and Lynn Parker, of South Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob and Colby Frederick, Rachel, J.D. and Camille Wallace and Tanner, McKenzie and Mia Sulkey.
