Mary L. (Birchall) Hudson

Mary L. (Birchall) Hudson, 83, of Latrobe, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born Sept. 12, 1934, in Wilkinsburg, to the late Thomas H. Birchall and Suzanne Thomas Birchall. She was a licensed evangelist and preached at several local churches. She worked as a missionary at the Salamanica Indian Reservation in New York. She also was a former employee of Westinghouse and had been an in-home care nurse. She was a member of Bell Memorial Chuch, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rugh August Hudson, in 1994; her stepmother, Naomi Birchall; grandchild, Holly Mae Hudson; and two stepsisters, Joan McGrew and Doris Torrance. She is survived by five children, Thomas H. Hudson and his wife, Caroline, Joseph A. Hudson, Nancy Seales and her husband, Charles, Suzanne J. McCullough and her husband, William and Rebecca F. Crawford and her husband, Chris; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, in Bell Memorial Church officiated by Pastor Jim Bash. Everyone should go directly to the church.
