Mary Ellen (Mickey) McCullough

Mary Ellen "Mickey" (Miller) McCullough, 95, of Greensburg, formerly of Latrobe, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born June 24, 1922, in Latrobe to her parents, Edward Miller and Catherine (Shillinger) Miller. She was retired and had worked at Stupenkopf Manufacturing and later Latronics Corp. She was a lifelong member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish. She was an avid gardener and had been active with both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James David McCullough, in 1957; and six brothers and sisters, Edward, Catherine, Margaret, Fred, Charles and infant brother John. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by two children, Alan J. McCullough (Leah) and Sharon Nies (Thomas); a special niece, Lori Appel; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at St. Vincent Basilica Parish with Father Thomas P. Curry O.S.B. officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe.
