Mildred I. Aukerman

Mildred I. Aukerman, 93, of Latrobe died Monday, May 5, 2008, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township. Born Oct. 10, 1914, in Whitney, she was a daughter of Horace G. and Myrtle (Waggle) Terney. Mildred was a member of Latrobe United Methodist Church. Prior to her retirement, she was a laborer for the Pearce Woolen Mill, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Aukerman, and seven siblings, John, Earl, Samuel, Hazel, Robert, William and Harrison Terney. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Aukerman of Latrobe; niece Nell Terney of Derry, and several other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Aimee W. Twigg officiating.
