Patricia A. "Patty" Miller, 61, of Latrobe, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born March 16, 1950, a daughter of the late Edward Miller and Helen Ruffner. She was retired from Latrobe Area Hospital Housekeeping Staff. She was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church; co-founder of Special Days for Special Kids, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year; Relay for Life participant as a survivor; and as a hobby she enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed going to yard sales with her special friend, Judy Bosco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Miller, in 2008; and four brothers and sisters, Rita Miller, Ed Miller, Marylin Shaffer and Joseph Miller. She is survived by a son, Christopher M. Miller and his wife, Deanna, of Latrobe; a daughter, Jennifer J. Stitt and her husband, Les, of Latrobe; a grandson, Colin P. Gearhart; a brother, John G. Miller and his wife, Darlene, of Derry; a sister, Shirley Hutchinson, of Latrobe; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney, VF, pastor, as celebrant. Burial in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe.
