Rochella (Cool) Wolfe

Rochella (Cool) Wolfe, 76, of Ligonier, died Friday, July 26, 2013, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Born Dec. 5, 1936, in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Willard W. and Helen M. (Sunday) Cool. She was a retired teacher, last employed at Covenant Presbyterian Church Pre-School of Ligonier. She belonged to St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ligonier, for more than 40 years, was an active member of the Sweet Adelines and the church choir. A graduate of Millersville State Teachers College, she also taught Sunday School classes and made deliveries for Meals on Wheels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert K. Ache; and second husband, Lt. Col. George D. Wolfe Jr. She is survived by three children, Cheryl Young and her husband, Keith, Scott Ache and his wife, T.J. Hayden, and Karen Stewart and her husband, Lee; four stepchildren, Randy Wolfe, George Dale Wolfe III and his wife, Lauren, Laurie Wolfe and Amy Croom; 12 grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother Edward Cool and his wife, Carol; and several nieces and nephews. BThe family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, Pa. 15650. Additional visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m., the hour of the funeral service, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ligonier, with the Rev. Paul D. Poerschke officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park, Bethlehem, PA.
