Thomas M. "Tom" Voytilla, 82, of Latrobe, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born September 1, 1940, in Latrobe, to the late Michael and Mary (Hudock) Voytilla. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. Tom was a retired payroll technician for Westinghouse. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, the St. Joe's Social Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #01188, and the First Ward Fireman's Club. In addition to his parents he was perceded in death by his wife, Margaret E. (Szabo) Voytilla; a sister, Ruth "Mickey" Ridilla; three brothers-in-law, George Ridilla, Fred "Buzz" Shaulis and Charles Hamilton. Tom is survived by two children, Jeffrey R. Voytilla and his wife Jamie of Latrobe and Jennifer L. Smith and her husband Richard of Irwin; five grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, and CJ Voytilla, Liam and Skylar Smith; a sister, Barbara Shaulis; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hamilton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2023, at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. Divine Liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Byzantine Cemetery.
