Walter Allen Muro of Trafford, passed away unexpectedly on January 13th 2025 at 68 years young. He was a beloved, but often times enigmatic, son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by a variety of nephews, nieces, and greats. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Ethel and Americo (Ego) Muro, and brothers John and Vince (Duddie) Muro. As a child, Walter ran the streets of a neighborhood all too familiar to his family and siblings, Wilmerding. As one of the first alumni to graduate the newly established East Allegheny High School, Walter, always one to emulate his big brother Vince, made the decision to join the Army and travel abroad. A choice, and brotherhood, he held dear to his last days. Stationed in Korea, he was ultimately honorably discharged, and came back to a new home in Swissvale. There is where he would spend the next several decades… watching countless Super Bowls and Stanley Cups with his father in matching lounge chairs, sitting on the front porch feeding “Rocky” the squirrel with his adoring mother, pursuing an education on the GI Bill, seeking his faith and sacraments at St Anselms, always welcoming his visiting nephews or nieces, lacing up his red belt for a martial arts workout on his heavy bag, or hanging up letters written and signed by his eventual admired deity, President Donald Trump. Always known as diligent, loyal worker, Walter would work for a variety of security firms over the course of his career. His passion for Pittsburgh sports was only matched by his fierce devotion to the likes of the NRA and the RNC. A huge thanks to the lifetime friends that always had his back w/out question like Vic Genre and Joey Juricich, and his new friends in Trafford who helped him find comfort atop Anthony’s like Bumsy or his handful of Brinton Ave boys. Here’s to hoping Heaven looks like Texas, Unc. Grandma’s back to making you sauce with meatballs, grandpa’s got a spare chair for you, and you find the eternal bliss the likes of a hot June afternoon at Joeys Blue Spruce afforded you. We love you
