Wanda F. Zuzack

Wanda F. Zaleski Zuzack, 85, of Latrobe died Thursday, March 27, 2014, in her home. She was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Leonard J. and Josephine (Kondracki) Zaleski. Wanda was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish, Unity Township, and was retired from W.T. Grant in 1976. She also was a member of the Latrobe Senior Center, having served as treasurer of the Advisory Council and was on the Board of Directors of Westmoreland Multi-Service Centers, Mount Pleasant, for many years. She enjoyed playing cards with family, sewing clubs with her relatives and treasured her time spent with her friends at Latrobe Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul T. Zuzack; a brother, Ronald Zaleski; her sister, Irene Detar, and her son-in-law, Alan Duane Stitt. Survivors include three sons, Ronald P. Zuzack and his wife, Elaine, of Latrobe, retired Air Force Col. Thomas J. Zuzack and his wife, Mia, of Apollo Beach, Fla., and David M. Zuzack and his wife, Joyce, of Chalfont; her daughter, Karen Stitt of New Derry; a brother, Leonard Zaleski and his wife, Carmella, of Coraopolis; six grandchildren, Jason Stitt, Ryan Stitt, Jennifer Zuzack, Michael Zuzack, Mary Zuzack and Andrea Zuzack, and three great-grandchildren, Caleb Stitt, Isaac Zuzack and Arianna Zuzack. There will be no public visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, in St. Vincent Basilica, Unity Township. The family will be available to receive friends at the church at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Wanda’s family requests memorial donations to be made to the Latrobe Senior Center, 100 Avenue C, Latrobe, PA 15650, in her name.
